Poker Chip Pullover

I don’t recall having seen this trick done in any of the poker episodes on TV, but I’ve seen it quite a few times at the poker table in casinos. Nothing flashy or exciting, but it’s the easiest poker chip trick you can find.

Before you begin

Trick Difficulty - 1
Chips needed - 2 or more

Tutorial

Places the chips in a single stack on the table. Places your fingers around the stack so the thumb and index finger are on one side of the stack and the other three fingers are on the opposite side.

Lift half of the stack up with all of your fingers, moving it to the side held by the middle, ring, and pinky fingers. As you drop it onto the table, reach back to what’s left of the original stack with your thumb and index finger. Pick up this stack with the two fingers and place it on top of the stack that was moved. Repeat the process over and over. Pretty exciting hey?

Note
If you find this trick difficult, I suggest not even trying any of the other tricks.

if this is a trick, then the opposite should also be a trick. So now try to take half of your stack and make a new stack with only the index and thumb finger. WOWzor….thats hard. haha seriously, if u cant do this then u should quit while ur behind and never tell anyone you tried.

so so easy, it looks quite good when you can do this quickly and then go straight into the chip shuffle, with maybe 8 chips or more

Also a good variation is when you put the new stack in the middle of the other stack instead of on top. Requires you to lift some of the first stack, and then push the moving stack in between. You mix it up a bit with the pullover and rearrange the chips.

Seriosly, this isn’t really a trick. My 5-year old cousin can do this. His hands are wicked small. The first try I got it correct. If you can’t get it on the first or second try there is something wrong. I was using half-dollars too. =>D

a variation to this trick that i found makes it look a little better. have the chips the same way in the stack, pick up half of it with all 5 fingers, then let go with the middle and index finger, holding the half stack with the thumb, pinky, and ring finger, then use the index and thumb to lift the bottom stack. slide the bottom stack over the top and the other stack underneathe. it makes the trick one fluid motion instead of 2, looks much better.
