Poker Chip Abduction

Abduction by Steven Sowinski - Pull a chip from the bottom of a stack to the top.

Tutorial

This trick can be done with the chips either horizontal (as seen in the video) or vertical (similar to the starting position of the finger flip). You can use 2 chips to 7 chips. This tutorial is described with the chips vertical.

  1. Begin by holding 3 chips with your thumb at 3 o’clock, your middle finger at 9 o’clock and your ring finger and pinky directly below your middle finger.
  2. Next, take your index finger and touch the top right part of your thumbnail. Then with the side of the index finger tip, applying pressure to the front chip.
  3. Push the front chip up with your index finger, holding it between your middle and index finger.
  4. With the front ship more than half way above the other two chip, use your index finger and pull the front chip back and down bringing it behind the stack.

To do this trick with the chips horizontal, you need to apply more pressure with the index finger in step 4 on the pull.

Really nice trick and usually gets respect when people actually try to do it, as using the index finger seems to be harder to perform flips with. The abduction is by far my favorite of your added tricks but all of them are very nice variations. Thanks for adding to the site!
