Are you talking about the scissor twirl? I love that trick, used to be hard but now I do it with ease. Also if you want to see some sweet tricks, 21ace’s chip tricks contest always has got the goods.

I saw Dutch Boyd do the “knuckle roll flick” on a segment of “the nuts”, it’s not quite like the one John posted back on feb. 11, but it still looks pretty cool.
-you do the regular knucke roll, but once the chip is being rolled on to your ring finger, you grip it between your middle and pinky fingers, applying pressure with your middle finger, you simply release the grip on your pinky and the chip will flick through the air

Saw this cool “twirl” variation:
-hold 3 chips between your thumb and index
-take your pinky and reach back and touch the side of your index, and pull the middle chip out
-pull the chip down to the side of your thumb with your ring finger
-you should now have two chips between your thumb and index, and one between your ring and thumb
-now reach down with your middle finger and twirl the single chip between your ring and thumb
-now simply slide the chip back to its original starting position with the ring finger and pinky

Knuckle roll flick, saw it on a uk advert done by a cartoon(no joke), gave it a go and it was pretty easy to do.
start with the regular knuckle roll from the thumb and index down to the pinky, then roll it back towards your thumb.
as you roll over your index finger towards your thumb let the edge of the chip catch on the side your middle finger, push you thumb down on the oposite edge of the chip and release you middle finger.
the chip should then flick into the air, you can then simply catch it in you hand.
done quickly this trick looks very good and is a nice way to finish off a knuckle roll.

4 CHIP ROLLOUT:
1) Start with 4 chips between your index and thumb, your middle finger should be on the bottom perpendicular to the 4 chips and your ring and pinky should be underneath your middle.
2) Pull the first chip (the one closest to your palm) up with your thumb and at the same time roll the other three chips down to your middle finger. You should now have one chip between your thumb and index and three chips between your index and middle, your ring finger should be supporting the three chips and should be perpendicular to them.
3) Pull the next chip closest to your palm up with the index and roll the next two out with your ring finger. You should now have one chip between your thumb and index, one chip between your index and middle, and two chips between your middle and ring.
4) Reach with your pinky finger and pull the chip closest to the tip of your fingers. (This is the same as the final step of the caterpillar.)
5) You should now have one chip between each of your fingers just as in the caterpillar or the butterfly.
*Note: This tutorial works for both the right hand and the left hand.
